Having used this package for as long as I can remember (yes I am getting pretty old!), I decided that as I use it constantly and depend upon it being around, I should pay the guy for his efforts so I purchased the package - so solving the problem. In this case Mike has decided to provide a 30 day key update, so Yes you have to go and find the key every month (or purchase the package), but I don't find it THAT painful or are you saying that you would prefer Mike to say OK it is now out of ? and you must pay for this package. Most software app's that use a freeby, 30 day trial or professional package, have a registration key that limits or provides full facilities. DRM (no matter how basic) has no place in a beta. I was going to leave it at that but now that I'm thinking about it.rubs me the wrong way. Whocares1 wrote:Check system time, just encountered error myself and system time was off. My point is 2 years from now you don't want me remembering your product as one that I have 3 steps to take each time I want to run, you want me to immediatly picture you GUI and know what I want to use (which is the case minus this latest revelation).
#MAKEMKV REGISTRATION KEY HOW TO#
So please remember that you have a target demographic and that demographic knows how to google, what is the best product today may not be tomorrow. I only use it to rip but as soon as I ran it I knew that this was EXACTLY what I was looking for. My two cents is that seeing licensing in a beta is a sure sign that it is time to look elsewhere for a service.Īfter the part I hate I'd like to mention that the actual software is superb. People who want to pay will pay and people who don't won't, the point is to make a product worth paying for. But that is thinking is just plain wrong, time and time again software success has come down to the service offered.

From the developers perspective I totally get the reasoning, it would suck to finish a product and then realize that there are untold copies of a near finished product available for free everywhere on the net.
